Pets and Vets as Partners is excited to announce an upcoming expansion to our existing facilities. Chester Construction of Valparaiso will break ground on “Phase II” of Pets and Vets as Partners, PetMedSpa and Rehabilitation Center, in the coming weeks. Chester Construction comes to us having experience in the design and construction of veterinary hospitals unique needs. PetMedSpa will offer expanded boarding facilities unique to the Lafayette area. We will offer traditional boarding facilities in addition to doggie “hotel rooms”. Feline boarders will be able to exercise and play during their stay. In addition, we will be offering Doggie Daycare. Daycare providers will play with your pet while you are at work, playing taxi driver for the kids or volunteering in the community… They will exercise your pet, individually or in a group, depending on your pet’s personality and health status. The goal of Doggie Daycare is not only exercise, but socialization with other humans and dogs. Pets with mobility, health or socialization “special needs” can have programs designed to fit those needs! PetMedSpa will house an underwater treadmill and a lap pool for orthopedic rehabilitation, geriatric workouts, agility workouts or just a workout different from traditional exercise routines. Furthermore, we will lease a portion of the expansion to a professional groomer whom will operate as a separate business, yet will be able to offer our clients the convenience of grooming services within the same facility as their veterinarian and boarding services.
